A new study from China suggests parents with only daughters report higher happiness levels than those with only sons. The association was particularly strong among parents with two daughters. Researchers Zhong Fei and Wenqin Jin analyzed survey data collected between 2012 and 2021. While the study found a link, it emphasizes that having daughters does not definitively cause increased happiness.
