India Joins SCO National Coordinators Meeting In Islamabad

India will participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) national coordinators meeting hosted by Pakistan from September 28-30. The meeting is expected to approve the calendar of events under Pakistan's presidency, leading up to the Council of Heads of State summit. India's national coordinator Alok Dimri is expected to attend the Islamabad event. Despite a decade without substantive bilateral engagement, officials have regularly visited each other's countries for SCO-related exercises. India has consistently reminded the SCO of its mandate to fight terrorism, separatism, and extremism.

भारत 28-30 सितंबर तक पाकिस्तान की मेजबानी में होने वाली शंघाई सहयोग संगठन (SCO) की राष्ट्रीय समन्वयकों की बैठक में भाग लेगा। उम्मीद है कि यह बैठक पाकिस्तान की अध्यक्षता में होने वाले कार्यक्रमों के कैलेंडर को मंजूरी देगी, जो राष्ट्राध्यक्षों की परिषद शिखर सम्मेलन की ओर ले जाएगा। भारत के राष्ट्रीय समन्वयक आलोक डिमरी के इस्लामाबाद कार्यक्रम में भाग लेने की उम्मीद है। एक दशक से अधिक समय तक कोई ठोस द्विपक्षीय जुड़ाव न होने के बावजूद, अधिकारी SCO-संबंधित अभ्यासों के लिए नियमित रूप से एक-दूसरे के देशों का दौरा करते रहे हैं। भारत ने लगातार SCO को आतंकवाद, अलगाववाद और उग्रवाद से लड़ने के अपने जनादेश की याद दिलाई है।
