The MLA also highlighted public outrage in August over pothole-related deaths allegedly linked to Mela preparations.

NCP (SP) MLA रोहित पवार ने राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू से नासिक में आगामी सिंहस्थ कुंभ मेले से जुड़ी कथित वित्तीय और प्रशासनिक अनियमितताओं की स्वतंत्र जांच का आदेश देने का अनुरोध किया है। पवार ने योजना, बुनियादी ढांचे और सार्वजनिक सुरक्षा में हुई चूक की खबरों का हवाला दिया, जिसके कारण कथित तौर पर 15 नागरिकों की दुखद मौत हुई। वह परियोजना की मंजूरी, निविदा प्रक्रियाओं और खर्चों में पारदर्शिता के साथ-साथ शोक संतप्त परिवारों के लिए वित्तीय राहत की मांग कर रहे हैं। विधायक ने मेले की तैयारियों से कथित तौर पर जुड़ी गड्ढों से होने वाली मौतों पर अगस्त में हुए जन आक्रोश को भी उजागर किया।
