BNP has alleged that nearly Rs 50,000 crore has been spent on approximately 80,000 civic projects over the last decade, yet residents continue to face issues like potholes, flooding, and traffic congestion. The party released a database detailing project costs, contractors, and expenditure across the city's 198 wards as part of its #LekkaBeku campaign. BNP claims over Rs 3 crore per kilometre has been spent on roads and related infrastructure, questioning the effectiveness of public spending.
