Pune Municipal Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram reviewed dengue control measures after the city reported 2,291 cases between January 1 and October 20, 2026. He visited Dr Naidu Infectious Diseases Hospital and directed departments to intensify efforts against mosquito breeding. Ram urged citizens not to panic, seek timely treatment, and prevent water stagnation. The civic body inspected 14 lakh homes, finding larvae in over 18,000 containers, issuing notices and collecting fines. Preventive actions will focus on construction sites and waste dumps, with targeted fogging and larvicide use.

पुणे नगर निगम आयुक्त, नौसेना किशोर राम ने शहर में 1 जनवरी से 20 अक्टूबर 2026 के बीच 2,291 मामले सामने आने के बाद डेंगू नियंत्रण उपायों की समीक्षा की। उन्होंने डॉ नायडू संक्रामक रोग अस्पताल का दौरा किया और विभागों को मच्छर प्रजनन के खिलाफ प्रयासों को तेज करने का निर्देश दिया। राम ने नागरिकों से घबराने, समय पर इलाज कराने और पानी जमा होने से रोकने का आग्रह किया। नागरिक निकाय ने 14 लाख घरों का निरीक्षण किया, जिसमें 18,000 से अधिक कंटेनरों में लार्वा पाए गए, नोटिस जारी किए और जुर्माना वसूला। निवारक कार्यों में निर्माण स्थलों और कचरा डंप पर ध्यान केंद्रित किया जाएगा, जिसमें लक्षित फॉगिंग और लार्वासाइड का उपयोग किया जाएगा।
