Man Alleges Death Threat Over Son's Murder Case, Warned to Withdraw Appeal

A man in Lucknow has filed an FIR alleging he received death threats via WhatsApp calls from someone claiming to be an advocate. The caller allegedly pressured him to stop pursuing his son's murder case from 2016 and withdraw a criminal appeal pending before the high court. The complainant, Ashok Kumar Shukla, reported receiving calls on July 3 and July 4, 2026, with the caller also offering to discuss money for discontinuing legal proceedings.

लखनऊ में एक आदमी ने FIR दर्ज कराई है। उसने आरोप लगाया है कि उसे WhatsApp कॉल से जान से मारने की धमकी मिली है। कॉल करने वाले ने खुद को वकील बताया। उसने कथित तौर पर उसे 2016 के अपने बेटे के हत्या के मामले को आगे बढ़ाने से रोकने और हाई कोर्ट में लंबित आपराधिक अपील वापस लेने के लिए दबाव डाला। शिकायतकर्ता, अशोक कुमार शुक्ला, ने बताया कि उसे 3 जुलाई और 4 जुलाई, 2026 को कॉल आए थे। कॉल करने वाले ने कानूनी कार्यवाही बंद करने के लिए पैसे पर भी चर्चा करने की पेशकश की।
