Thane Coastal Road Project: 45% Work Completed On 6-Lane Highway

Construction is underway for the Thane Coastal Road-1, a 13.45-kilometer, six-lane highway aimed at easing traffic congestion on Ghodbunder Road. Approximately 45% of the project is complete, with significant progress on foundational elements like piles and pillars. This greenfield corridor, connecting Kharegaon Toll Naka and Gaymukh, will improve connectivity to Gujarat, Nashik, and North India. The road is designed to enhance freight movement and will include a 240-meter creek bridge and an 8.11-kilometer elevated section to protect mangrove ecosystems.
