Delhi Schools Must Link Student Bank Accounts With Aadhaar For DBT Payments

The Delhi Education Department has mandated that all eligible students' bank accounts be linked with Aadhaar to ensure timely disbursement of financial aid through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). This directive aims to prevent payment delays and failures caused by incorrect student bank details, which have been a recurring issue. Regional Directors of Education will monitor the process, coordinating with school officials to verify records and correct discrepancies. The department operates four student welfare schemes, including scholarships and assistance for uniforms and textbooks, via the Public Financial Management System.

दिल्ली शिक्षा विभाग ने निर्देश दिया है कि डायरेक्ट बेनिफिट ट्रांसफर (DBT) के ज़रिए वित्तीय सहायता के समय पर भुगतान को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए सभी योग्य छात्रों के बैंक खातों को आधार से जोड़ा जाए। यह निर्देश गलत छात्र बैंक विवरण के कारण होने वाली भुगतान में देरी और विफलताओं को रोकने के लिए है, जो एक आवर्ती समस्या रही है। शिक्षा के क्षेत्रीय निदेशक, स्कूल अधिकारियों के साथ मिलकर रिकॉर्ड सत्यापित करने और विसंगतियों को ठीक करने के लिए इस प्रक्रिया की निगरानी करेंगे। विभाग पब्लिक फाइनेंशियल मैनेजमेंट सिस्टम के माध्यम से छात्रवृत्ति और वर्दी तथा पाठ्यपुस्तकों के लिए सहायता सहित चार छात्र कल्याण योजनाएं संचालित करता है।
