TV9 Hindi · india

To combat severe traffic congestion, Nainital police will now prevent two-wheelers from outside the region from proceeding beyond Kathgodam during weekends and peak tourist seasons. This measure targets rental bikes and tourist vehicles, which have been identified as major contributors to jams on the Nainital-Bhairali-Kainchi Dham route. Rental bikes will not be allowed to be ridden by tourists themselves; owners or designated drivers must accompany them. In a recent crackdown, 258 vehicles were challaned and 78 seized, with fines totaling ₹47,000 collected.
