Red Bull Sues Food Regulator Over Label Ban

Austrian beverage maker Red Bull has filed a case against India's food safety regulator, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). The company is challenging the FSSAI's decision to ban the use of the "energy drink" descriptor on its cans. Red Bull claims the regulator did not follow legal procedures and that this decision is impacting its investments in India. The FSSAI had previously barred high-caffeine beverage makers from using the "energy drink" label.

ऑस्ट्रियाई पेय कंपनी रेड बुल ने भारत के फूड सेफ्टी रेगुलेटर, फूड सेफ्टी एंड स्टैंडर्ड्स अथॉरिटी ऑफ इंडिया (FSSAI) के खिलाफ केस दायर किया है। कंपनी FSSAI के अपने कैन पर "एनर्जी ड्रिंक" शब्द के इस्तेमाल पर रोक लगाने के फैसले को चुनौती दे रही है। रेड बुल का दावा है कि रेगुलेटर ने कानूनी प्रक्रिया का पालन नहीं किया और इस फैसले से भारत में उसके निवेश पर असर पड़ रहा है। FSSAI ने पहले भी हाई-कैफीन वाले पेय निर्माताओं को "एनर्जी ड्रिंक" लेबल का उपयोग करने से रोका था।
