Tamil Nadu's Higher Education Minister introduced an amendment bill to drastically alter private university establishment rules. The bill, passed by the Assembly, reduces the land requirement from 100 acres to 12 acres in Chennai and lowers the endowment fund from ₹50 crore to ₹25 crore.
