Bengaluru Doctors Warn Against Ignoring Mini-Stroke Symptoms

Times of India · health

Bengaluru doctors are urging the public not to ignore transient ischemic attacks (TIAs), or mini-strokes, even if symptoms like sudden weakness or temporary vision loss disappear quickly. A TIA can significantly increase the risk of a major stroke, with studies indicating that about one in 10 individuals may suffer a stroke soon after. The risk is particularly high within the first 48 hours following a TIA. Prompt medical evaluation is crucial to identify underlying causes and initiate necessary treatment to prevent a more severe event.
