Navratri Sixth Day: Worship Goddess Katyayani For Blessings

The sixth day of Shardiye Navratri is dedicated to worshipping Goddess Katyayani, the sixth form of Goddess Durga. It is believed that worshipping her with devotion and proper rituals on this day removes all sorrows and bestows happiness, peace, and prosperity. Goddess Katyayani, with four arms, holding weapons and a lotus, rides a lion and is considered the presiding deity of Braj Mandal. Devotees worship her for marital bliss and to overcome obstacles in marriage. Her worship is also associated with the planet Jupiter.

शारदीय नवरात्रि का छठा दिन देवी दुर्गा के छठे स्वरूप देवी कात्यायनी की पूजा को समर्पित है। ऐसा माना जाता है कि इस दिन पूरी श्रद्धा और विधि-विधान से उनकी पूजा करने से सभी दुख दूर हो जाते हैं और सुख, शांति व समृद्धि मिलती है। चार भुजाओं वाली, हाथों में शस्त्र और कमल धारण किए हुए देवी कात्यायनी सिंह पर सवार होती हैं और उन्हें ब्रज मंडल की अधिष्ठात्री देवी माना जाता है। भक्त उन्हें वैवाहिक सुख के लिए और विवाह में आने वाली बाधाओं को दूर करने के लिए पूजते हैं। उनकी पूजा बृहस्पति ग्रह से भी जुड़ी है।
