Farmers in Chitrakoot are facing difficulties in obtaining fertilisers, with reports of fake products surfacing. Authorities conducted a raid in Mau tehsil, uncovering a facility allegedly preparing mixed and adulterated fertilisers. Officials seized a large quantity of fertiliser, open bags, and empty sacks, leading to the sealing of a shop. District Agriculture Officer RK Verma advised farmers on how to distinguish genuine DAP fertiliser. He explained that real DAP granules are hard and resist breaking when scratched with a fingernail.

चित्रकूट के किसानों को खाद मिलने में परेशानी हो रही है, नकली उत्पादों की खबरें सामने आ रही हैं। अधिकारियों ने मौ तहसील में छापा मारा, जहां मिलावटी और नकली खाद तैयार करने की सुविधा का खुलासा हुआ। अधिकारियों ने बड़ी मात्रा में खाद, खुले बोरे और खाली बोरियां जब्त कीं, जिससे एक दुकान को सील कर दिया गया। जिला कृषि अधिकारी आरके वर्मा ने किसानों को असली डीएपी खाद की पहचान करने के तरीके बताए। उन्होंने बताया कि असली डीएपी के दाने सख्त होते हैं और नाखून से खरोंचने पर टूटते नहीं हैं।
