Shyam Metalics & Energy Ltd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Maharashtra government to establish a 9 million tonnes per annum integrated steel complex in Chandrapur. The proposed investment amounts to ₹50,000 crore, making it one of the largest single industrial investments in the Vidarbha region. This greenfield project will be developed in two phases, aiming to expand India's domestic steel-making capacity. The complex is expected to generate approximately 10,000 direct and 20,000 indirect jobs, potentially transforming the socio-economic landscape of the region.

श्याम मेटालिक्स एंड एनर्जी लिमिटेड ने महाराष्ट्र सरकार के साथ चंद्रपुर में 9 मिलियन टन प्रति वर्ष का एकीकृत स्टील कॉम्प्लेक्स स्थापित करने के लिए एक समझौता ज्ञापन (MoU) पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। प्रस्तावित निवेश ₹50,000 करोड़ है, जो इसे विदर्भ क्षेत्र में सबसे बड़े एकल औद्योगिक निवेशों में से एक बनाता है। यह ग्रीनफील्ड प्रोजेक्ट दो चरणों में विकसित किया जाएगा, जिसका उद्देश्य भारत की घरेलू स्टील-मेकिंग क्षमता का विस्तार करना है। इस कॉम्प्लेक्स से लगभग 10,000 प्रत्यक्ष और 20,000 अप्रत्यक्ष नौकरियाँ पैदा होने की उम्मीद है, जिससे क्षेत्र के सामाजिक-आर्थिक परिदृश्य में बदलाव आ सकता है।
