Odisha to Host Centre of Excellence for Classical Pali Studies

The Ministry of Education has approved the establishment of a Centre of Excellence for Classical Pali at the Central University of Odisha. This initiative is part of a larger plan to set up five such centres for Classical Languages across different states. The centres aim to support academic research, preservation, and dissemination of linguistic and literary heritage. Odisha's Chief Minister welcomed the move, stating it will strengthen the study and promotion of Pali, a language significant to India's cultural traditions.

शिक्षा मंत्रालय ने ओडिशा के सेंट्रल यूनिवर्सिटी में शास्त्रीय पाली के लिए एक उत्कृष्टता केंद्र (Centre of Excellence) स्थापित करने की मंजूरी दे दी है। यह योजना देश भर में शास्त्रीय भाषाओं के लिए ऐसे पांच केंद्र स्थापित करने की एक बड़ी योजना का हिस्सा है। इन केंद्रों का उद्देश्य भाषाई और साहित्यिक विरासत के अकादमिक शोध, संरक्षण और प्रसार में मदद करना है। ओडिशा के मुख्यमंत्री ने इस कदम का स्वागत करते हुए कहा कि इससे भारत की सांस्कृतिक परंपराओं के लिए महत्वपूर्ण पाली भाषा के अध्ययन और प्रचार को बढ़ावा मिलेगा।
