A thief entered a paying guest accommodation in Bengaluru's Chikkabegur area and stole 12 mobile phones and seven laptops while residents slept. The intruder exploited unlocked room doors to access valuables belonging to 11 inmates. Despite poor quality CCTV footage, police tracked the suspect's movements towards Chennai, but he disappeared in a crowded market. The stolen items are likely dismantled for spare parts, making recovery difficult. The PG management has been advised to install better security systems.

बेंगलुरु के चिक्काबेगुर इलाके में एक पेइंग गेस्ट (PG) में एक चोर घुस गया और जब लोग सो रहे थे तब 12 मोबाइल फोन और सात लैपटॉप चुरा लिए। चोर ने 11 लोगों के कीमती सामान तक पहुंचने के लिए खुले कमरों के दरवाजों का फायदा उठाया। खराब क्वालिटी के CCTV फुटेज के बावजूद, पुलिस ने संदिग्ध की चेन्नई की ओर गतिविधियों को ट्रैक किया, लेकिन वह एक भीड़ भरे बाजार में गायब हो गया। चुराई गई चीजें संभवतः स्पेयर पार्ट्स के लिए अलग कर दी गई हैं, जिससे उन्हें वापस पाना मुश्किल हो गया है। PG प्रबंधन को बेहतर सुरक्षा प्रणाली लगाने की सलाह दी गई है।
