Rafale Marine Fighter Jet Trials Underway in Goa for INS Vikrant Operations

The Indian Navy is conducting trials of the Rafale Marine fighter aircraft in Goa to assess its operational compatibility with the indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant. These trials are crucial as the Rafale M was designed for catapult-assisted carriers, while INS Vikrant uses a Short Take-Off But Arrested Recovery system. The Navy has contracted for 26 Rafale Marine aircraft, with deliveries expected by late 2028 or early 2029. Successful integration will significantly enhance the Navy's carrier-based combat capabilities.
