Maharashtra has declared 265 out of 358 talukas, approximately 74% of the state, as drought-affected due to rainfall deficit. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced that crop inspection reports are being prepared to provide appropriate assistance to affected farmers. Relief measures include crop loan restructuring, land revenue concessions, and power bill subsidies.
