Mansa Clash: Lakha Sidhana, Activist Mohanjit Singh Sent To Police Custody For 4 Days

Akali Dal (Waris Punjab De) functionary Lakha Sidhana and activist Mohanjit Singh Sheron were remanded in police custody for four days each on Thursday. This is in connection with a clash between police and protesters on October 27. The clash occurred when protesters attempted to transport the body of Diljit Singh, who died of suspected drug overdose, to a protest site. Police have registered an FIR against 40 unidentified individuals for charges including attempt to murder and rioting.

अकाली दल (वारिस पंजाब दे) के पदाधिकारी लखा सिधाना और एक्टिविस्ट मोहनजीत सिंह शेरॉन को गुरुवार को चार-चार दिन की पुलिस हिरासत में भेज दिया गया। यह 27 अक्टूबर को पुलिस और प्रदर्शनकारियों के बीच हुई झड़प के संबंध में है। यह झड़प तब हुई जब प्रदर्शनकारियों ने संदिग्ध ड्रग ओवरडोज से मरने वाले दिलजीत सिंह के शव को एक विरोध स्थल पर ले जाने की कोशिश की। पुलिस ने हत्या के प्रयास और दंगे सहित विभिन्न आरोपों में 40 अज्ञात व्यक्तियों के खिलाफ एफआईआर दर्ज की है।
