Morgan Stanley Shifts $10 Billion Municipal Bonds

Morgan Stanley is converting eight municipal bond mutual funds, managing nearly $10 billion in assets, into exchange-traded funds. The firm plans to launch seven new ETFs and merge one mutual fund into an existing ETF. This move comes as municipal bond mutual funds face outflows due to anticipated interest rate hikes by the U.S. Federal Reserve. ETFs are favored for their tax efficiency and flexibility during uncertain market conditions.
