Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has urged allies to strengthen sanctions against Russia following a wave of overnight drone attacks that caused significant traffic gridlock in Kyiv. Key bridges, including the Southern Bridge and Paton Bridge, were closed after being targeted by Iranian-type Shahed kamikaze drones. Zelenskyy emphasized that Russia's ability to escalate attacks depends on foreign components, urging countries to prevent their supply. He noted that while the EU and US are working on new sanctions, more political will is needed to stop weapons at the production line.
