Jantar Mantar Removed From Protest Site List; New Locations Designated

Delhi's Jantar Mantar, a long-standing protest hub, has been removed from the list of designated protest sites. The government has now specified three alternative locations: Ramlila Maidan, Burari Maidan, and CBD Maidan in East Delhi. This decision comes as the CJP sought permission for a protest at Jantar Mantar. The CJP has called the move an attack on the fundamental right to protest and assemble peacefully. A committee reviewed alternative locations based on Central Home Ministry recommendations.
