Andhra CM Orders 24/7 Vigil On 6,800 Tanks Amid Cyclone Murasu Threat

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to prioritize the safety of 6,800 tanks in six cyclone-prone districts, ensuring no breaches occur during Cyclone Murasu. He mandated round-the-clock monitoring of irrigation infrastructure and effective use of forecasted rainfall to replenish depleted water bodies. Officials are to involve water users associations and local communities in surveillance and expedite preventive measures. The CM also reviewed power preparedness, with 31,000 poles dispatched and 1,000 personnel mobilised from Chennai for restoration efforts.

आंध्र प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री एन. चंद्रबाबू नायडू ने अधिकारियों को छह चक्रवात-प्रवण जिलों में 6,800 टैंकों की सुरक्षा को प्राथमिकता देने का निर्देश दिया है, ताकि साइक्लोन मुरासु के दौरान कोई रिसाव न हो। उन्होंने सिंचाई बुनियादी ढांचे की चौबीसों घंटे निगरानी और खाली जल निकायों को फिर से भरने के लिए अनुमानित वर्षा के प्रभावी उपयोग को अनिवार्य किया। अधिकारियों को निगरानी में जल उपयोगकर्ता संघों और स्थानीय समुदायों को शामिल करना चाहिए और निवारक उपायों में तेजी लानी चाहिए। सीएम ने बिजली की तैयारी की भी समीक्षा की, जिसमें 31,000 खंभे भेजे गए और बहाली के प्रयासों के लिए चेन्नई से 1,000 कर्मियों को तैनात किया गया।
