CM Yogi Orders Embankment Plan After Gomti Floods Hit Lucknow

Following extensive flooding along the Gomti River in Lucknow, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered officials to create a comprehensive plan for constructing a new embankment. This proposed structure will extend from Faizullaganj in Lucknow to Naimish in Sitapur. The Chief Minister conducted aerial and ground inspections of affected areas, including Faizullaganj and Bakshi Ka Talab, where residents suffered due to the swollen river. He also directed the identification of suitable locations for pumping stations to drain water from flood-prone localities, aiming to mitigate future flood impacts.

लखनऊ में गोमती नदी में आई भीषण बाढ़ के बाद मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने अधिकारियों को नया तटबंध बनाने की एक विस्तृत योजना तैयार करने का आदेश दिया है। यह प्रस्तावित ढाँचा लखनऊ के फैजुल्लागंज से सीतापुर के नैमिष तक फैला होगा। मुख्यमंत्री ने फैजुल्लागंज और बख्शी का तालाब सहित प्रभावित इलाकों का हवाई और जमीनी निरीक्षण किया, जहाँ उफनती नदी के कारण निवासियों को परेशानी हुई। उन्होंने बाढ़-प्रवण इलाकों से पानी निकालने के लिए पंपिंग स्टेशनों के लिए उपयुक्त स्थानों की पहचान करने का भी निर्देश दिया, जिसका उद्देश्य भविष्य में बाढ़ के प्रभाव को कम करना है।
