Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav released eight wild buffaloes into a large enclosure at Kanha Tiger Reserve's Supkhar range. These buffaloes, brought from Assam's Kaziranga National Park, have completed their quarantine period. The state government aims to resettle 50 wild buffaloes in the reserve over the next three years. This initiative marks a significant step in reintroducing the species, which had become extinct in the region nearly 100 years ago. The program is expected to boost wildlife conservation and enhance the region's biodiversity.
