Cooperative Audit Process to be Outsourced in Karnataka

Karnataka's Cooperation Minister Laxman Savadi announced plans to outsource the audit of thousands of cooperative societies. The Cooperative Audit Department is currently understaffed and overworked, leading to delays. To address this, the government will train commerce and management graduates, issue them licenses, and create employment opportunities. This move aims to replicate the success of outsourcing land surveys to private surveyors. The training will be free for the poor, funded by the societies' education fund, estimated at around ₹90 crore.

कर्नाटक के सहकारिता मंत्री लक्ष्मण सावदी ने कहा है कि हज़ारों सहकारी संस्थाओं के ऑडिट का काम आउटसोर्स किया जाएगा। अभी Cooperative Audit Department में स्टाफ की कमी है और काम का बोझ ज़्यादा है, जिससे देरी हो रही है। इस समस्या को दूर करने के लिए सरकार कॉमर्स और मैनेजमेंट ग्रेजुएट्स को ट्रेनिंग देगी, उन्हें लाइसेंस देगी और रोज़गार के मौके पैदा करेगी। इस कदम से ज़मीन की सर्वे का काम प्राइवेट सर्वेयर्स को देकर जो सफलता मिली है, उसे दोहराने की कोशिश की जाएगी। गरीब लोगों के लिए ट्रेनिंग मुफ़्त होगी, जिसका खर्च संस्थाओं के एजुकेशन फंड से उठाया जाएगा, जो करीब ₹90 करोड़ है।
