मुंबई में नींद की एक बड़ी समस्या सामने आई है। अपोलो के विशेषज्ञों का कहना है कि मुंबई मेट्रोपॉलिटन रीजन में करीब 45-50 लाख लोग स्लीप एपनिया से जूझ रहे हैं, लेकिन उन्हें इसका पता नहीं है। इस बीमारी में सोते समय सांस बार-बार रुक जाती है। अगर इसका जल्दी पता लगाकर इलाज न कराया जाए तो दिल की बीमारी, स्ट्रोक और डायबिटीज जैसी गंभीर समस्याएं हो सकती हैं।
