He became the bowler with the most T20I wickets in a calendar year among Full Member nations, taking his tally to 40. Arshdeep also reached 150 T20I wickets, becoming the fastest Indian bowler to do so in terms of balls faced and days since debut. New Zealand posted a record 259/7, powered by Glenn Phillips' century, before India was restricted to 172/9.
