Tiger tourism evolves in Bandhavgarh as tourists increasingly favour buffer zones
The Hindu · india
Bandhavgarh National Park in Madhya Pradesh, home to over 164 tigers, is experiencing an evolution in its tourism landscape. While the reserve is renowned globally for tiger sightings, there's a growing preference among tourists for buffer zones over core areas. This shift is attributed to the immense pressure to spot tigers, leading visitors to seek out areas where sub-adult tigers may be more accessible. Previously, tiger shows involving elephants were popular, but current trends indicate a change in how visitors experience the park's wildlife.
