Punjab AAP MLAs To Face 'Condemnation Letters' Over Drug Activist's Murder

Activists in Mansa, Punjab, plan to paste 'condemnation letters' on the homes of all AAP MLAs on October 19, following the murder of anti-drug activist Parwinder Singh Jhota. The Mansa Insaf Morcha, supported by other organizations, has issued a list of nine demands, including the resignation of the Chief Minister and DGP. They allege a conspiracy to silence voices against drug trade, fueled by a nexus between smugglers, police, and politicians. Union Home Minister Amit Shah also criticized the Punjab government over the incident.

पंजाब के मानसा में कार्यकर्ताओं ने नशीले पदार्थ विरोधी कार्यकर्ता परविंदर सिंह झोटा की हत्या के बाद 19 अक्टूबर को सभी आप विधायकों के घरों पर 'निंदा पत्र' चिपकाने की योजना बनाई है। मानसा इंसाफ मोर्चा ने अन्य संगठनों के समर्थन से नौ मांगों की एक सूची जारी की है, जिसमें मुख्यमंत्री और डीजीपी के इस्तीफे की मांग भी शामिल है। उनका आरोप है कि तस्करों, पुलिस और राजनेताओं के बीच मिलीभगत से नशीले पदार्थों के व्यापार के खिलाफ आवाजों को दबाने की साजिश रची गई है। केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने भी इस घटना को लेकर पंजाब सरकार की आलोचना की है।
