Mid-Day Meal Row: Headmaster Transferred After Student Clash

A dispute over the quantity of chicken and rice served as a special Mid-Day Meal on Teachers' Day in Jalpaiguri, West Bengal, escalated into a physical altercation. Students complained about insufficient portions, leading to a clash with the school's headmaster, Dharmachand Barui. Following an investigation by the education department, which found both parties responsible, the headmaster was transferred. Four students involved in the alleged assault on the headmaster were also issued transfer certificates and barred from continuing their studies at the school.

पश्चिम बंगाल के जलपाईगुड़ी में टीचर्स डे पर मिड-डे मील में चिकन और चावल की मात्रा को लेकर विवाद हो गया। छात्रों ने कम खाना मिलने की शिकायत की, जिससे स्कूल के हेडमास्टर धर्मचंद बरुआ से उनकी झड़प हो गई। शिक्षा विभाग की जांच में दोनों पक्ष दोषी पाए गए। हेडमास्टर का तबादला कर दिया गया। हेडमास्टर पर हमले के आरोप में चार छात्रों को स्कूल से टीसी देकर पढ़ाई जारी रखने से रोक दिया गया।
