Awanish Kumar Appointed Delhi's New Excise Commissioner

The Delhi government has appointed 2014-batch IAS officer Awanish Kumar as the new excise commissioner with immediate effect. This appointment is significant as the government prepares to finalize its new excise policy. Kumar previously served as director of training and technical education and higher education. The post was vacant after former excise commissioner Ravi Jha was transferred last month. Several other key administrative reshuffles have also been ordered across various departments.

दिल्ली सरकार ने 2014 बैच के IAS अधिकारी अवनीश कुमार को तत्काल प्रभाव से नया आबकारी आयुक्त नियुक्त किया है। यह नियुक्ति महत्वपूर्ण है क्योंकि सरकार अपनी नई आबकारी नीति को अंतिम रूप देने की तैयारी कर रही है। कुमार पहले प्रशिक्षण और तकनीकी शिक्षा और उच्च शिक्षा के निदेशक के रूप में कार्य कर चुके हैं। पिछले महीने पूर्व आबकारी आयुक्त रवि झा के तबादले के बाद यह पद खाली था। विभिन्न विभागों में कई अन्य प्रमुख प्रशासनिक फेरबदल का भी आदेश दिया गया है।
