The Bombay High Court has reprimanded actor Imran Khan, a US citizen with an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card, for participating in a protest in Mumbai. The court emphasized that the right to protest is exclusively for Indian citizens. Khan subsequently offered an unconditional apology and submitted an undertaking not to participate in future demonstrations. The court noted that OCI cardholders do not possess the same rights as Indian citizens and are subject to the country's laws.

बॉम्बे हाईकोर्ट ने ओसीआई कार्ड धारक अमेरिकी नागरिक अभिनेता इमरान खान को मुंबई में एक विरोध प्रदर्शन में भाग लेने के लिए फटकार लगाई है। अदालत ने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि विरोध का अधिकार केवल भारतीय नागरिकों के लिए है। खान ने बाद में बिना शर्त माफी मांगी और भविष्य में ऐसे प्रदर्शनों में भाग न लेने का हलफनामा दिया। अदालत ने कहा कि ओसीआई कार्ड धारकों को भारतीय नागरिकों के समान अधिकार नहीं हैं और वे देश के कानूनों के अधीन हैं।
