India Launches Portal To Report Unusual Population Changes

The Indian government has launched a new online portal, demography.mha.gov.in, to collect information on unusual population changes across the country. This initiative aims to assess demographic shifts and identify illegal immigrants for a systematic process of detention and deportation. Citizens, government departments, and NGOs can share data, suggestions, and documents related to demographic changes. A high-level committee, chaired by retired Justice Prakash Prabhakar Naolekar, will analyze the submitted information to understand the causes and impacts of these shifts.
