Dehradun Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against a social media user, Kamran (@CitizenKamran), and others for allegedly spreading misinformation about the 2023 Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit. The FIR was filed based on a complaint by the Additional Director of Industries, who stated that false content was being disseminated to create distrust among investors and harm the state's investment climate. This action follows Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's criticism of the summit, where he alleged inflated investment figures and questioned the grounding of proposed investments.
