The INDIA bloc has demanded the scrapping of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner. They also called for the upcoming local body elections in Karnataka to be conducted using the pre-SIR 2025 electoral rolls. The bloc alleges that over 14 crore voters have been removed nationwide, with a significant number of deletions in Karnataka attributed to eligible voters rather than deceased or duplicate ones.

INDIA गठबंधन ने चुनावी सूचियों के विशेष गहन संशोधन (SIR) को रद्द करने और मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त के इस्तीफे की मांग की है। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि कर्नाटक में आगामी स्थानीय निकाय चुनाव SIR 2025 से पहले की चुनावी सूचियों का उपयोग करके कराए जाएं। गठबंधन का आरोप है कि देशभर से 14 करोड़ से अधिक मतदाता हटा दिए गए हैं, और कर्नाटक में बड़ी संख्या में नामों को हटाना योग्य मतदाताओं के बजाय मृत या डुप्लिकेट मतदाताओं के कारण हुआ है।
