A Bengaluru consumer commission has ordered a beauty clinic to pay Rs 1.11 lakh to a woman who suffered facial burns and skin darkening after a laser hair removal treatment. The woman paid Rs 1,100 for the procedure on April 22, 2026, but experienced a severe burning sensation, which the technician dismissed as normal. The commission found the clinic deficient in service and guilty of unfair trade practices, ordering a refund of the fee with interest, Rs 1 lakh for damages and mental agony, and Rs 10,000 for litigation costs.
