Kentucky Powerball winner James Farthing, who won $167.3 million in April 2025, has been arrested for the fifth time. Deputies found him asleep in a running Ford Mustang in a Walmart car park on September 20, 2026, charging him with public intoxication. This latest incident follows a series of legal troubles since his jackpot win, including charges of battery, intimidation, burglary, and domestic violence. Farthing shared the historic prize with his mother, Linda Grizzle.
