Vatika Ltd chairman-cum-managing director Anil Bhalla has been sent to 14-day judicial custody by a Gurgaon court in a money-laundering case. ED arrested Bhalla under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. The ED alleges that despite receiving approximately Rs 260 crore from purchasers between 2010 and 2012 for residential plots, the projects were not delivered. The agency also claims money received from purchasers was transferred to other group entities instead of being used for the projects.
