The Punjab state consumer commission has dismissed Hyundai's appeal, upholding an order for the company and its dealer to provide a buyer with his Hyundai Eon's invoice and registration certificate. The complainant, Amandeep Singh, purchased the car in June 2016 but never received the crucial documents, despite making a significant down payment and financing the rest. Hyundai had argued it was not responsible for the dealer's actions, but the commission found the manufacturer liable. The order also includes Rs 15,000 in compensation and Rs 7,500 for litigation costs.
