Germany's Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul has described the European Union's latest sanctions package against Russia as an "unprecedented sanction blow." This package, the largest ever approved by the EU, targets over 1,600 individuals and businesses linked to Russia's war effort and its military-industrial complex. The sanctions aim to make it significantly harder and more expensive for Russia to produce weapons used in Ukraine.
