India imported over 32 lakh tonnes of key fertilizers in the first quarter, while domestic production reached 115.72 lakh tonnes during the same period. To mitigate supply chain risks and ensure fertilizer security, the government is actively diversifying import sources and finalizing long-term agreements with overseas suppliers. India is also sourcing water-soluble fertilizers from multiple countries to effectively offset any potential shortfalls, bolstering agricultural stability.

भारत ने पहली तिमाही में 32 लाख टन से ज़्यादा ज़रूरी खाद आयात की, जबकि इसी दौरान देश में 115.72 लाख टन खाद का उत्पादन हुआ। सप्लाई चेन की दिक्कतों से बचने और खाद की सुरक्षा पक्की करने के लिए, सरकार बाहर से खाद लाने के नए रास्ते तलाश रही है और विदेशी कंपनियों से लंबे समय के लिए समझौते कर रही है। पानी में घुलनशील खाद भी कई देशों से मंगाई जा रही है ताकि किसी भी कमी को पूरा किया जा सके और खेती को स्थिर रखा जा सके।
