Hindustan Times · business

German companies are shifting their focus from India as just a market to a strategic partner, with 2,000 firms already operating and planning significant expansion. They are drawn by India's scale, lower costs, and a large pool of young talent for global capability centers. India must leverage this opportunity by investing in vocational training, ensuring gains reach women through improved working conditions, and pushing for co-innovation and research partnerships beyond back-office operations. The nation needs to set clear terms for this evolving economic relationship.
