Apple's lawyer told a federal court that the company does not need to inspect devices of all 400 former employees who joined OpenAI, as the AI firm knows who the 'bad apples' are. This statement came during the first major hearing in Apple's trade secrets lawsuit against the ChatGPT maker. The judge indicated he was likely to grant an injunction against OpenAI, but the company voluntarily agreed not to use any disputed information during the case. Apple will now focus its device inspection on a smaller group of ex-employees.
