India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has called for a modern, action-oriented approach for the Quad grouping, emphasizing freedom of choice and secure supply chains. Speaking after a Quad foreign ministers' meeting, he highlighted the need for deeper cooperation in technology, critical minerals, and energy sectors. Jaishankar also stressed addressing non-market practices and economic stresses in the Indo-Pacific. The Quad announced over $85 million in support for trusted AI access and $10 million for critical mineral recovery facilities in India and ASEAN countries.
