Indian benchmark indices resumed their downward trend, with the Nifty falling below 23,300 points due to weak sentiment and mixed global cues. Rising crude oil prices and elevated global bond yields are impacting risk appetite. The S&P BSE Sensex declined by 262.48 points, while the Nifty 50 dropped 102.50 points. Broader market indices like the Nifty Midcap 100 and Smallcap 100 also saw significant declines. Information technology stocks, however, experienced strong buying interest.
