The self baggage drop facility at KIA Terminal-1 is currently not operational due to ongoing renovation work. This automated system, designed to expedite the check-in process, has been unavailable since October 8. Passengers report increased check-in times, exacerbated by the current festive rush. Airport officials have stated that the facility will be restored once the renovation is completed. The airport has recently improved its global ranking, moving from 48th to 41st place.
