Ludhiana MC Inspector Caught Red-Handed Accepting ₹25,000 Bribe

A Ludhiana municipal corporation inspector, Shubham, was arrested by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau for allegedly accepting a ₹25,000 bribe. The bribe was demanded to facilitate the transfer of ancestral property following the complainant's father's death. The complainant approached the Vigilance Bureau after the inspector allegedly demanded the illegal gratification. A trap was laid, and Shubham was apprehended while receiving the money in the presence of witnesses. A case has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act, and further investigation is ongoing.

पंजाब विजिलेंस ब्यूरो ने लुधियाना नगर निगम के इंस्पेक्टर शुभम को कथित तौर पर ₹25,000 की रिश्वत लेते हुए गिरफ्तार किया है। शिकायतकर्ता के पिता की मृत्यु के बाद पैतृक संपत्ति के हस्तांतरण को सुविधाजनक बनाने के लिए यह रिश्वत मांगी गई थी। इंस्पेक्टर द्वारा कथित तौर पर अवैध रिश्वत मांगने के बाद शिकायतकर्ता ने विजिलेंस ब्यूरो से संपर्क किया। एक जाल बिछाया गया और शुभम को गवाहों की मौजूदगी में पैसे लेते हुए पकड़ा गया। भ्रष्टाचार निवारण अधिनियम के तहत मामला दर्ज कर लिया गया है और आगे की जांच जारी है।
