Joe Rogan Criticises UFC For Prioritising Spectacle Over Fighter Skill

NDTV Sports · sports

Joe Rogan has voiced his criticism of the UFC's decision-making, suggesting the organization prioritizes entertainment value over the actual skill of its fighters. He specifically pointed to the case of undefeated fighter Farid Basharat, who was not re-signed by the UFC. Rogan argued that fighters should not face roster cuts solely based on their fighting style being less visually appealing to audiences. This stance highlights a potential conflict between commercial appeal and athletic merit within the sport.
